Buddhist Churches of America (BCA)
The BCA was founded in 1899, and since then has continued to bring the teachings of Jodo Shinshu to the North American continent.

Center for Buddhist Education (CBE)
CBE was established in 2005, as the BCA’s educational wing. They provide seminars, training, and continuing education. You can see past seminars/trainings by clicking on the button below.

Institute of Buddhist Studies (IBS)
IBS was founded in 1949 and is one of the oldest Buddhist seminaries. They offer certificate and degree programs, some of which are available completely online.

Jodo Shinshu International Office (JSIO)
The JSIO was founded in 2006 by the Hongwanji-ha and operated by the BCA. They create training materials, create publications like the Buddhist Quarterly Magazine, and they run the Jodo Shinshu Correspondence Course.

Nishi Hongwanji
Nishi Hongwanji is our mother temple, located in Kyoto, Japan. It is listed as a UNESCO heritage world site. You can attend services there; the services are conducted in Japanese.
